This Movember, Let's Start the Conversation.
Men's Mental Health, Bladder Leaks and Getting Back Out There.
Because "she'll be right" isn't a plan.
November is Movember, the month the moustaches come out and the world talks a little more openly about men's health. Mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer are all on the agenda.
There's one part of men's health that still rarely gets a mention: bladder leaks. Incontinence affects around 1 in 10 Aussie men, especially after prostate treatment. It can quietly chip away at confidence, mood and the things that make life good. So this Movember, we're putting it on the table.
We're Doing Movember This Year
The Night n Day team is taking part in Movember this year to help raise awareness of men's mental health. Everyday conversations about bladder health are part of that.
We'll be documenting the whole month right here on the blog and over on our socials. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook, and if you'd like to support the cause, you can donate to Movember below.

Leaks Don't Just Affect Your Bladder
Ask any bloke who's dealt with bladder leaks and he'll tell you the physical side is only half of it. It's the planning, the worrying and the stuff you quietly stop doing.
That's how leaks can feed into low mood, anxiety and isolation. And men are already less likely to reach out. Around three in four people who die by suicide in Australia are men (ABS). That's why the conversation matters so much.
Here's the honest bit: the right products can make leaks easier to manage, but they're not a treatment for how you're feeling. If your mood has taken a hit, that deserves real support too, alongside the practical stuff.
Brave Voices From Our Community
Some of the men in our community, and the families who support them, have shared what getting their confidence back has meant. A huge thank you to everyone who has spoken up. Every story makes it easier for the next bloke.
“these briefs have made a great difference to Dad, and he is now more confident every day while wearing these.”
Kylie J., about her dad“He has been wearing this style all his life, Quite confident but now with added protection against "leaks"”
Daphne N., about a loved one“These are excellent for confidence if the incontinence is minor, that is, for very light flow.”
R-CBR, verified buyer“Very good product !! It saved me a lot of embarrassments!!! Thank you !! I am very grateful !!!”
Johannes S., verified buyerYou Don't Need the Perfect Words
Most men don't open up across a table. They open up side by side: in the car, on a walk, at the shed, waiting for a fish to bite. If a mate seems off, Movember suggests a simple approach called ALEC:
AAsk. "How are you going, really?" Trust your gut if something seems off.
LListen. No need to fix it. Give him your full attention and let him talk.
EEncourage action. Suggest small steps, like seeing a GP or talking to someone who can help.
CCheck in. Follow up in a few days. It shows you meant it.
Want a practice run? Movember's free mental health conversations guide walks you through tricky chats.
If you're the one doing it tough, start with one person: a mate, your partner or your GP. Your GP can help with both your bladder and your headspace, including a mental health plan if you need one. A continence nurse can help with the practical side, so leaks stop running the show.
