A snapshot of AGED CARE FUNDING and HOME CARE PACKAGES announced in the FEDERAL BUDGET 2021-22 and what it means for you.
A $6.5 billion Government funded investment will be made available for an extra 80,000 Home Care Packages to support older Australians still living at home, in an effort to help them stay at home longer. 40,000 Home Care Packages will be made available in 2021-22 and the other 40,000 Home Care Packages will be available from 2022-23.
By 2023, this should result in a total 275,598 Home Care Packages available.
The budget has allocated $630.20 million to connect people living in regional areas of Australia who are living with and relying on Aged Care services.
$798.30 million has been allocated to support informal and family support carers looking after senior Australians.
