Good news!
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has confirmed that Participants within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) are allowed to use their budget to fund the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to:
- Washable and reusable face masks
- Hand sanitiser
and other PPE products for NDIS Participants and their Carers.
As at 04 August 2020, NSW and VIC NDIS Participants who rely on face-to-face support and assistance are able to claim the cost of any PPE, including masks and sanitiser.
How to buy PPE using your NDIS Funds
