How do you wash your Night n Day incontinence products?
Caring for your Night n Day products is super easy! Most of our products are machine washable and tumble-dryer friendly, but it’s important to follow the correct washing instructions to maintain their performance and longevity.
Important Notes Before Washing:

Before washing or using your products, always ensure you have ordered the right size: to be eligible for return, the products must not show any signs of being used, washed or soiled if you wish to return them due to incorrect sizing.

Wash your new products before first use: the absorbency of our products increases over the first five washes. Their performance will stay at this level until wash 250 - at least!

Each style of product requires different care: below, you’ll find specific washing and drying instructions for each type and style of Night n Day products.

Always check the label: Always check the care label located at the rear (back) of every product to learn the best way to wash and care for your products.
Recommended Washing & Drying Methods for Best Results
Even though most of our products are washing machine and tumble dryer-friendly on lukewarm water (below 70°C), we highly recommend using cold water whenever possible to extend their lifespan and maintain the best quality and performance.
Temperature

Use cold or lukewarm water (around 30°C) and a gentle cycle. This temperature is best for delicate fabrics and helps preserve the integrity of the fibres.

For drying, use a low-heat setting to prevent damage. Higher temperatures can weaken delicate fibres and cause shrinkage.
Spin Cycle:

Select the lowest spin cycle to minimise stress on the fabric.
Drying Options:
- Air Dry: Whenever possible, we recommend air drying on a clothesline or drying rack to avoid heat damage and prolong durability.
- Tumble Dry: If using a dryer, use the lowest heat setting or a "delicates" cycle.

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Drying delicate items in direct sunlight can cause fading and the deterioration of fabric.

Due to the composition of our waterproof doona, do not use a washing machine; instead simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. The waterproof quilt is designed to be used in conjunction with our waterproof quilt cover, which adds an extra layer of protection, helping to keep the quilt protected.

How to Remove Stains & Odours from Night n Day Products
Even though our products are odour-neutralising, occasionally, smells and stains may appear. Here’s how to freshen them up:
Odour, Sells & Stain Removal
Baking Soda & Vinegar:
Don't worry! Our products are odour neutralising. However, if you're experiencing smells or stains we recommend using baking soda along with vinegar to absorb and neutralise any smells or odours and help remove stains:
Wash the products in a washing machine set on cold or lukewarm water.
Specifically for washing to remove any smells;
- Do not add laundry detergent for this washing
- Do not use hot water if trying to remove specific smells or odours
